INTRODUCTION

Polish Saturday] School will ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, that all

staff, pupils, contractors and visitors are protected from the risks of

fire whilst on the premises. 

FIRE SAFETY TRAINING

All staff receive basic fire safety induction training at the beginning of school year and attend refresher sessions termly.

Pupils are given instruction by their form tutors during the first week of the Autumn term on their actions to be taken in the event of a fire.

Fire drills are planned each term to evaluate the effectiveness of the school’s evacuation

procedures. The findings of the drill are reported to staff 

Fire Evacuation procedures

In the event of fire teachers and all students must leave the buiding immediately through the nearest designated fire exit. No one is allowed to take their personal belongings with them, use the toilets or lifts.

The fire evacuation collection point is at the football pitch. Children must stay there with their teachers who are responsible for checking if all students are present and report to Deputy or Head Teacher.

Teachers and students can only enter the building if it is being checked and given permission from the school fire marshall .
